God is a Being of Energy | Science and Bible Confirms | Facts Evidence By Brett Keane

Science Daily defines energy as, “the work that a certain force (gravitational, electromagnetic, etc) can do. Due to a variety of forces, energy has many different forms (gravitational, electric, heat, etc.). Energy is a conserved quantity, meaning that it cannot be created or destroyed, but only converted from one form into another. Thus, the total energy of the universe always remains constant.”

Anyone who is familiar with the laws of thermodynamics will recognize the importance of the last half of the definition given. Energy cannot be created or destroyed. It can only be transferred. The same energy that existed at the beginning of the universe continues to exist and will exist forever.

It is one of the laws of physics, which govern the universe and provides order. Without the laws in place, the entire universe would be a place of chaos where not even time is constant. A black hole could appear at random anywhere in the universe and it would be impossible for life to exist anywhere.

Since energy cannot be created, it must predate the universe, just as all laws of physics must. Not one law could have come about after the creation of the universe, since the laws could not have come after. If they had come after, then energy could be created and destroyed, as opposed to only having the transference of what already exists.

Most people read Genesis as starting with, “When God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was void and without form.” That is as close as it gets to a direct translation from Hebrew, but Hebrew is a figurative language and cannot be translated word for word without the loss of meaning.
Instead of the above, the closest English translation is, “When God began to create the heavens and the earth, it was a void without form.” The heavens are a direct reference to the universe, where there was a vast nothingness. There were no laws in place and not a single atom created.

The first thing God had to create, before the first atom, was the laws of physics. Not just the laws, known and yet to be discovered, but mathematics. Both laws and mathematics are referred to as discoveries, since both already exist and not invented or created by anyone. We can only discover what God has created and put in place.

It was only after the laws and mathematics were put in place, could the universe begin to take form. All the energy in the universe was used to fill the void and help create everything that followed. Once the universe began to be created, not one law could have come from that moment onward.

Most have a limited understanding of physics, if any, but everyone understands energy. When people eat, they transfer the existing energy from food into their bodies. The body does not create energy anymore than the food, but it has been transferred from the food to the body.

No atheist, no matter how smart or specialized they may be has ever come up with a way for any law to come into existence after the universe began. This is especially problematic with the Big Bang theory, as Natalie Wolchover, Senior Writer and Editor for Quanta Magazine pointed out in an article released in June of 2019. Big Bang “rewinds the expansion of the universe back to a hot, dense bundle of energy. But where did the initial energy come from?”

Wolchover points out the problem in the same article, “Physicists understood that an expanding bundle of energy would grow into a crumpled mess rather than the huge, smooth cosmos that modern astronomers observe… Inflation quickly became the leading theory of our cosmic origins. Yet the issue of initial conditions remained: What was the source of the minuscule patch that allegedly ballooned into our cosmos, and of the potential energy that inflated it?”

Professor Stephen Hawking claimed to have solved the problem by claiming the universe must have created itself from nothing, through the use of existing laws. Rather than accept the removal of God causes problems for the existence of laws, he claimed that not only the universe, but life created itself out of nothing.

It is one thing to claim a single law, let alone an entire universe created itself out of nothing, but something else entirely when it comes to proving it happened the way Professor Hawking claimed. To say something can come from nothing is no different than saying energy can be created and destroyed.

It is only when you include an intelligence far beyond human understanding that the laws of physics exist. Remove God and you remove the foundation of the universe which maintains order. Energy cannot be created, yet it is here and no one can even come close to explaining how it can exist at all.
